Intermediate Savoy Charleston
Pivotal to the Lindy Hop dance as seen in the Savoy Ballroom in the 1930s, Charleston is particularly useful for fast dancing and offers an interesting and diverse range of vocabulary that can really bring up playfulness and vivacity to each dance. On this block we will kick deeper into the peculiarities and technique of this highly energetic style, and will explore a wide range of vocabulary that will take it to the next level (eg. Savoy Kicks, Aroundthe World, Corridor Charleston or Hacksaws).
Suitable for dancers who are familiar with Savoy Charleston classic shapes or are taking the beginners course and are already comfortable with Lindy Hop.
