Ticket sales for this event have closed.
Join Dr Tom Attah for two lectures exploring the history of Blues music.  Don't miss out on this rare opportunity to learn more about Blues music and it's role in the development of Jazz.

Programme for the day:

11:15-11:30 - Arrivals

11:30-12:30 - Lecture 1 - African American Popular Music, Dance and Culture - Part One

12:30-13:00 - lunch break

13:00-14:00 - Lecture 2 - African American Popular Music, Dance and Culture - Part Two

Dr Tom Attah is a musician and academic currently based in Leeds. We're excited to welcome to Brixton for the weekend and he'll be playing two sets at Blues at the Ritzy the night before (Friday 26th July).

Tickets for this event are £20 per person. How is this workshop priced so affordably?! The costs of running the workshop are heavily subsidised by the Blues At The Ritzy Blues History and Culture Education Fund. Blues at the Ritzy runs as a not-for-profit night, and any profit made after paying the costs of the night are saved up in this Fund to be able to subsidise learning about the history and culture that formed the music and the dances that we love so much. Take advantage of this subsidised opportunity to learn from Dr Attah while you can!
